The
dictionary
definition
of
a
DOG: A
well-known domesticated, carnivorous, quadruped closely allied to the
wolf and the fox, noted for its sagacity,
acute senses and great
attachment to man.
The
definition
of
sagacity:
Intelligence
resembling
that
of
mankind.
(the sagacity
of
a
dog)
The
definition
of
COMPANION: A mate, a comrade,
one who accompanies another. The definition of
COMPANION certainly
describes
our
DOG
COMPANIONS.
Of
course,dogs
are
not
the
only
COMPANION animals--many of us
have cats, horses, rabbits, birds and other creatures that command our
attention and interest and fulfill the position of being our dear COMPANIONS. They all bring us
joy and happiness and hopefully we do the same for them.
Most
dog
owners
will
agree
that
their
companionship
with
their
dogs
is
more
than
just
casual, because of their unconditional love and acceptance,
friendship and deep loyalty. So, it's no wonder that dogs are called
"man's best friend". However, for both men and women alike, dogs
have
been quiet confidantes and very loyal protectors, by quarding their
property and listening intently as they are confided to.
